Strathclyde 25 yo (1988), SMWS G10.6, 56 %

Review #157
This whisky is called ”The Spice Temple” and comes from a refill barrel. Only 128 bottles were made. The smell is very sweet, almost like vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce.

There is a lot of grain and bourbon barrel sweetness in the taste. Fine oak influence and the finish stays for a while with burned sugar as the main ingredient.

It is called “The Spice Temple” and you definitely get some spices but it is far from overwhelming. I think the sweetness is much more dominant and well balanced. I had this with a portion of Haggis, and it matched perfectly. I will give this 88/100 (22/22/22/22).
